hotTunes 2.3 is available

A new version of hotTunes, version 2.3, is available on the hotTunes page. The Info window is now displayed properly on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and I’ve also simplified the process of saving and loading custom hot key sets.

saw this on macapper.com and it seems great with the customizable shortcuts and different information-panes which almost eliminates the preference for growl; still it would be nice for the app to be able to make use of the one third-part notification-system for os x.. the updating position/time might be a pickle with it though, but then again one could just present the position/time of the invocation, right?

but since i can set the color/opacity i can settle as long as i can control the width or proportions of some kind of the text and image (i have used the “music video” display with growl for ByteController) text alignment would perhaps also be able to increase the readability..

a menu item to not fill up the dock (but instead the menu-bar!) would perhaps also fit people

keep up the good work, peace

i dont know what this has to do with the systems bezel services (just a thought) but another thing with growl is that it can allow click-transparency in (some of?) it’s display-styles.. that’s neat.. it can also notify the poster of clicks but i have only used the cli and applescript-interface (where that is unimplemented) and few apps that i use with growl use the feature so i dont know how it works..

a menu item to not fill up the dock (but instead the menu-bar!) would perhaps also fit people

..and still have the ability to access the menu

with hope for some response, peace
