Regarding Remember? on Mac OS X 10.7

It starting to appear that Apple may be dropping support for running PowerPC applications on the upcoming Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion” release. If this is true, since Remember? is currently PowerPC only, that would mean that Remember? will not run on Mac OS X 10.7 making Mac OS X 10.6 the last supported OS version.

If this does come to pass I will provide a method to export existing occasion data to iCal format to ease the transition but I can’t promise that Remember? itself will be converted to run on “Lion.” I’ll be more specific once Apple provides a 10.7 release date and confirms that PowerPC apps won’t be supported.

There are a few more details on the Remember? product page.

Remember? is a great little app, and I use it every day. I hope you will be able to make a version that will run in Lion, but I also appreciate your making a utility to transfer the many hundreds of entries I’ve made in Remember? to iCal. Thanks in advance, Dave.

I don’t know how I will get along if I can keep using Remember? I tested out the available replacements and they are all junk compared to it. PLEASE upgrade this GREAT App!!!

Just saw your new message about updating this GREAT app. It just made my entire month!!! I have been searching out and trying every Mac calendar & To-Do type list I can find and there is NOTHING that even comes close to Remember? I have been using your app for so long that it has become indispensable to me to the point where I was not going to move to Lion unless a viable replacement was to be found. I think that you really ought to charge an upgrade fee to compensate you for all the GREAT work and design that you have done to this app and hopefully some new future features one day. I also use Google Calendar but it won’t do anything to function in the same easy way that your Remember? does. You might want to consider putting it on Apple’s App Store so that you can get paid if someone uses it. I’d be more than happy to pay again since you have saved my computer life. THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

    Dear Dave,

remember? is an excellent tool – I have used it since the very beginning. Now I have changed from OS X 10.5.8 to OS X 10.6.8 and I have problems with the start-up-function. Followed the instructions closely by setting the preferences to automatic start-up as well as activating favorite view menue – but at every start-up the remember window only shows for a very short moment and then dissappears. Is there a trick with remember? version 4.6.1 ? Please help!
