Thanks Rob!

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

Just a quick thank you to Rob Ellis of Mac2MUG for presenting Remember? to his group. I’m still amazed that a little app I wrote 24 years ago is still of enough use to people that someone is willing to talk about it (even if there is no car as an incentive.)

Even with the advent of Apple Stores and Genius Bars, Macintosh User Groups (MUGs) are still the best way to learn and share what you’ve learned. If you aren’t already a member find a local MUG and join!

Remember? 4.6.1 Released

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

Remember? version 4.6.1 in now available. There are only two changes:

  • a bug fix that eliminates a lock-up when you close then re-open the About window.
  • the pop-up alert window now responds to scroll wheel events by stepping through the alert list.

And that’s it.

Here comes the Flood

Oddly enough, this:

Must…resist…

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Rumor is they didn’t sell out yet. There’s probably an aesthetically pleasingly arranged pile of them sitting on a shelf at the AT&T store not 5 minutes away (no way I’m braving the casinos on a summer weekend for the Apple Store.) I could instantly silence all those people who keep saying “you’re a tech guy and you don’t even have a cell phone?” while making them insanely jealous in about an hour, maybe less if I don’t bother with a shower (“I was waiting in the line and fell asleep and nobody woke me up at 6:00, the bastards.”)

I’m not running out to buy an iPhone today.

But next week, when that check comes. All bets are off.

UPDATE: I couldn’t resist, I’ve got my iPhone. More later.

Still Around

Saturday, July 1st, 2006

OK, so I spent a month or so coming up with the new site design and its been sitting idle ever since. Yes, I’m still around. I’m still trying to figure out what sort of items I want to post here given that all Apple/Mac related stuff has been going on the ACAMUG site. I’ve got a few personal projects in the pipeline and once I start banging on them details will be posted here.

I did recently dismantle a broken solar yard light and put the guts inside a hollowed out candle. If I get ambitious I’ll post some info or more likely build one from scratch.
